Schools of Choice Application Window Now Open | Monday, June 1, 8:00 a.m.

East Lansing Public Schools is now accepting Schools of Choice applications for the 2026-27 school year. The application window opens today, Monday, June 1 at 8:00 a.m. and closes on June 15 at 4:00 p.m. Families interested in applying can access the application and Verification and Release of Information form through the Online Enrollment page on the ELPS website, or by clicking the application link below. A separate application must be submitted for each student. Please note that applications received after the June 15, 4:00 p.m. deadline cannot be accepted.

Free Summer Food Program 2026

Free summer meals are available for children this summer through the Meet Up and Eat Up Program at Red Cedar Elementary School, located at 1110 Narcissus Drive, East Lansing, MI 48823. Breakfast will be available Monday–Thursday from 9:00–9:30 a.m. Lunch will be available Monday–Thursday from 12:30–1:00 p.m. The program runs June 9–June 30, 2026. Please note: Meals will not be served on Monday, June 8 or Friday, June 19. https://www.mcgi.state.mi.us/schoolnutrition/

To file a program discrimination complaint, a complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, which can be obtained online, at https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/ad-3027.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992 or by writing a letter addressed to the USDA.  The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation.  The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
